Keep the shots as square on as possible to reduce distortion and use a scale of some description so that the model can be made at the correct size.

Idealy a brightly painted 1m or 0.5m square would provide a highly visible scale.

If you need to count bricks:

4 bricks horizontally or 12 bricks vertically = 900mm
